History
The Beachcombers originated on November 15, 1939 when a group of twenty-five men of Corpus Christi, Texas formed a voluntary association under this name and dedicated it to the following purpose:
"The purpose for which this association is formed is to promote good fellowship among the members hereof, with the intent and determination of entering into and carrying out such social activities as will create and maintain a high degree of social congeniality among the members hereof, thus effecting and bringing about a better understanding between the members hereof of their social problems, and all of which conditions, when created and maintained, will culturally advance the members thereof and thus effect a direct contribution to the social life of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas."
